Jeremy Geffen, MD, FACP — The Seven Levels of Healing: Celebrating Life and Spirit on the Journey Through Cancer (full one-hour presentation)
Jeremy R. Geffen is a board-certified medical oncologist and a pioneer in integrative medicine and oncology. Dr. Geffen is author of the highly-acclaimed book, The Journey Through Cancer: Healing and Transforming the Whole Person (Three Rivers Press, 2006), and the integrative medicine program, The Seven Levels of Healing®. In this presentation, he describes the seven levels of healing, designed to help patients and family members heal and transform at the deepest levels of the body, mind, heart, and spirit.
Healing Story by Pam Quillin
Pam Quillin is a brain tumor survivor who has managed to thrive while dealing with the continuing effects of radiation, chemotherapy and multiple surgeries. This experience has provided Pam with a keen awareness of what is truly important, as well as a finely honed foolishness detector, which she uses readily but with great diplomacy.

Electric cellist and vocalist Jami Sieber reaches inside the soul with compositions that are contemporary, timeless, lush, and powerfully evocative. Employing electronics and looping techniques, she creates sounds never associated with the cello. On this song, she is joined by Gary Malkin on the electric keyboard.

Healing Yoga with BK Bose, PhD
Bidyut (BK) Bose is the Founder and Executive Director of Niroga Institute, a non-profit center for integral health, bringing mindfulness practices to those who need it most — vulnerable populations such as cancer survivors, seniors, people battling addiction, and at-risk youth. This 15-minute presentation includes a simple practice.
Emmett Miller, MD — Mind-Body Tools for Enhancing the Healing Response (full one-hour presentation)
Emmett Miller, one of the fathers of holistic and mind/body medicine, is a physician, scientist, musician, and master storyteller. He is best known for his creation of the first deep relaxation/guided imagery tapes (1973). Now on CDs and DVDs, these healing products are recommended and used by hospitals and health professionals. In this presentation, he talks about the difference between curing and healing, and takes the audience through a 25- minute guided imagery to promote healing.
Healing Story by Nick Trujillo
Nick Trujillo is a Cal State University Sacramento Professor of Communication Studies. He has published over forty scholarly and trade articles as well as four books. His latest book, Cancer and Death: A Love Story in Two Voices (Leah Vande Berg, Hampton, 2008), was written with his wife, Leah, who died of ovarian cancer in December, 2004. In this 15-minute presentation, he shares that love story.

Native San Franciscan Linda Tillery is a Grammy-nominated vocalist, percussionist, producer and cultural historian. Her career, spanning 40 years, has gone from rock diva to soul healer. This was the fourth time she sang at a Healing Journeys conference. She sings She Restores My Soul, written by Miri Hunter. She is accompanied by Ann Jefferson.
