Cindy Bishop, M.Div. Cindy Bishop, M.Div. is a native of Greenville, SC and chaplain at St. Francis hospital. She has been a chaplain for 20 years working with oncology patients and their families. She has lead “I Can Cope” support groups. She received her Master of Divinity Degree in Pastoral Care and Counseling from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. She also attended Furman University, Carson-Newman College and Anderson College.

Jeffrey K. Giguere, MD has been an Oncologist and Hematologist at Cancer Centers of the Carolinas for 15 years. He is board-certified in Medical Oncology, Hematology and Internal Medicine. Dr.Giguere is the Principal Investigator of the Greenville Community Clinical Oncology Program (CCOP), the main corpus of Cancer Centers of the Carolinas Clinical Research effort. The Greenville CCOP, which is formally recognized by the National Cancer Institute, is a community based cancer research and education program that offers national cancer prevention and cancer treatment clinical trials. Dr. Giguere is also the founder (1991) and Associate Director of the Cancer Centers of the Carolinas Transplant Program and the Medical Director of the Collection Facility.

W. Larry Gluck, MD is a medical oncologist and hematologist at Cancer Centers of the Carolinas. He earned his medical degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and his fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at the Duke University Medical Center. He was subsequently appointed to the Duke University faculty in the Division of Hematology and Oncology. Dr. Gluck has been treating patients in the Upstate of South Carolina since 1986. He is President of Cancer Centers of the Carolinas and is the Medical Director of the Greenville Hospital System’s Cancer Center. Dr. Gluck was instrumental in creating the oncology multidisciplinary centers which are a tremendous benefit to cancer patients.r

Elizabeth Hassen, RN, MSN has been an oncology nurse for 5 years, both working and managing inpatient and outpatient departments. Currently Elizabeth is the Inpatient Oncology Nurse Manager at the Gibbs Cancer Center at Spartanburg Regional Hospital. She is also a clinical Instructor for Clemson University. Elizabeth earned her BSN at Clemson University in Clemson , SC and her MSN from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. She is actively involved in the South Carolina Upstate ONS chapter where she is currently President-elect. Elizabeth is married to David Hassen and her first child, Cameron Rose, was born last November.
